“The corner shop was my Tate Modern as a kid”

At the second night of It’s Nice That‘s Beauty In The Making talks, graphic designer Kate Moross revealed the unlikely inspiration for “every illustration I do”: the sweets packaging of her childhood.

“Inspiration is a very cheap way of describing the things we interact with. I don’t think anything speaks to the consumer more than sweets packaging… tied in is a huge sense of nostalgia. People reminisce about the sweets they had as a kid.”
