As part of my involvement with the Craftivist Collective, I spent much of this week crafting onstage alongside Josie Long at the Soho Theatre, which proved to be one of the most inspirational experiences of my recent years.
Josie’s current tour, Be Honourable, covers lots of straight-forwardly funny topics – enough to have me laughing even the third time round – but also includes much meatier political content and a brilliantly nail on the head feminist section – all while maintaining the hilarity. She’s some kind of genius for striking a balance no other comedian currently can.
She’s also practising what she’s preaching, actively campaigning for change (electoral reform, gender equality and tons of other good stuff) and if you’re a Twitter user, she’s brill to follow. Jokes, facts, calls to arms and the occasional anti-hipster statement. Perfect. The tour continues around the UK: go and get some serious value for money.
